House-Museum of Henri Matisse in Nice

In Nice, on one of the hills of Cimiez, near the ancient Roman ruins in the 17th century Genoese mansion is the Matisse Museum. The building presents the artist’s work from the first work, Nature Perished in Books, to the last composition, Flowers and Fruits. In the expositions, the search for the path of the creator, his findings in working with color is traced. In a separate room are the graphic works of Matisse. Almost all of the sculptural creations of the painter are represented in the collection of this museum. Not only Matisse’s works became a decoration of the museum. Lonshan Palace – an architectural hymn to fresh water in Marseille. The decoration of the complex was a ten-meter cascading fountain in front of the Chateau d’Eau Palace. This is one of the ten most beautiful fountains in the world.
